This is so beautifully put. It’s not the task it’s the invisible resistance around it that becomes the real burden. The emotional labor of avoiding is so often heavier than the thing itself. It’s the way it looms. It’s almost cruel how the brain can turn a few minutes or hours of effort into days of spiraling. Thank you for articulating what so many of us quietly live with 🫶🏻
Thank you for this comment. I completely agree. It’s the looming, daunting thoughts leading up to completing the task that are worse than the actual task.
It is crazy to think how procrastination can to lead a dear diary episode on a crappy nights sleep.
But what you say is so true, especially in the workplace. A ton of workplace stress can be attributed to simply not facing those jobs, tasks or projects that you are dreading.
Hi, Kevin. I completely agree... don't get me started on procrastination at work... I will need a whole other article just about that topic. However, it does give me some level of satisfaction that I am not the only one who struggles with this. Hope you are having a lovely day in Winnipeg.
Winnipeg has been smoky from wild fires in the Province, for the last few days. It has been a tough fire season, our Province, Manitoba, is under a state of emergency for the second time this year with thousands evacuated from northern communities.
Same same sameeee, I procrastinated from May doing an assignment and I finished it in 10 hours before the deadline yesterday🫤it was good though🙂↕️
This has happened to me many times. I honestly don’t even have a reason as to why it happens… but it just.. sort of.. does.
Wishing us both productivity 🥹

Thanks again for the visit.
Preach, sister! "The truth is, procrastination doesn’t just steal your time; it steals your peace. It drains your energy before you’ve even started."
Good job, on a most productive day Layla!

I’m sorry to hear this. It felt odd to “like” the comment. I really hope you and your community are all safe and continue to stay safe. ❤️
